Fall is coming...some new clothes

Took this shot of Ellie before school the other day...she is getting so big.  This is a new outfit for Fall.

Face Painting, Balloon Animals and Pony Rides, Oh My!

Ellie had the greatest time at Lillian Harris' 3rd Carnival birthday party this weekend.  She got a ladybug painted on her face, got a balloon hat, rode TWO ponies and ate a beautiful clown cookie.

It was big time fun.  Ellie was ecstatic about the ponies...squealing with delight when they approached.

A little weary of the clown painting her face....

Real happy about the balloon hat

Excited to get moving....

Just your average pony ride in the neighborhood

Ah - the Clown cookie (It was Mom's favorite part of the party).

Uncle John Postlewait and Ellie Burgess

Ellie's Uncle John Postlewait came in town for Grandma Postlewait's birthday!  She was really happy to see him (and thinks saying "Postlewait" out loud is the funniest thing).  She and John had a great weekend together, capped off be a really good picture of the two of them Sunday night before she went to bed.

Uncle John - she misses you!

Uncle John left her a note, which she carried around all night

Thought it might be fun to show a flashback to how big Ellie was the last time she and Uncle John P got together...a lot has changed!

Zoo for Grandma's Birthday

We helped Grandma Postlewait celebrate her 60th in style with a visit to the zoo.  Here is a shot of Ellie looking at the elephants and a video of her saying hi to the Elephants.  For those wishing for a transcript of what she is saying she is running by the fence and says "Hi Elephant" a few times, finally settling on "Hi Elephant's Tail" at the end.

Dinner with Friends

We had some friends over for dinner recently.  The Kilroy Family and the Pendleton Family.  Everyone enjoyed some pizza and time outside.  Here are a few pics of the "kid table"

The Wagon in Action

So the wagon is already off to a good start with Ellie.  In fact, more members of the family are getting use out of the wagon than we had anticipated!

Family Birthday Pictures

Just a tad late on these...pictures from Ellie's actual birthday, when we had family over to celebrate.  Ellie had a great birthday.  She went out for breakfast with Mom and Dad.  Dad took the day off, so he and Ellie went to Loose Park, fed the ducks and played on the playground.  That afternoon, Ellie, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa went to Deanna Rose to go and pet all the farm animals.  We hear that Grandpa Burgess might have gotten the biggest kick out of the farm than anyone.

That night, both Grandmas and Grandpas, Large, Ruthie, John and Amber came over to eat pizza and cake and help Ellie open presents and celebrate.  She went to bed pretty darn happy that night  :)

Singing Happy Birthday to Ellie!!

Ellie got some help blowing out the candles

She was pretty sure she wanted to eat the cake straight out of the pan

Yup, tasted good

She got a stroller for her baby

Could be the next golfing sensation...although we admit her swing is pretty bad.  She needs lessons.

A wagon!!!  She was pretty excited about this gift!

In fact, the rest of the gifts were opened in the wagon

Plus her stroller and her baby got a prime seat!

All in all a pretty great birthday for Ellie.  We can't believe she is two now.
