Here's to June...Lake Trip Part 2

Hanging out with Papa

Happy boy!

Both of us are "iffy" here - iffy look on Tom's face, iffy hair on Mom, but we haven't had a picture together forever, so I thought I would post.  Where is my brother with the ability to clean this picture up in post-production?

Loves to drive!

Captain Hollywood.

Tom took advantage of the pool.

Laid back.  Lots of chubby wrinkles.

Kicked back and relaxed.

Ellie playing on the back of Papa's boat.

So this is funny.  I was out running errands, just me and the kids.  Tommy had a major blowout, worst I have ever changed.  I had no back up clothes and had to change him in the back of the car.  So we swung by the outlet mall, and I put Tommy in just his diaper in the stroller and our first stop was BabyGap.  Luckily it was the Ozarks, so he didn't really look out of place.

Playing on some fun toys.

Tuckered out.

Big News This Morning

Tommy Burgess has his very first tooth! He was awfully fussy this weekend, and now we know why!  (By saying Tommy was fussy, that means that he just wanted to be walked around instead of sit in your lap.  No real crying).

Here is a pic of him fresh off of Dad finding the tooth - its a lower tooth!

Memorial Weekend at the Lake

The Burgess crew had a successful visit to the lake this past weekend.  Tommy enjoyed his inagural lake experience, and Ellie is really growing to love it.  She got to swim in the pool at the place where we dock the boat, Uncle John B taught her how to drive, and she got some great time in with Papa.  We had ok weather on the first day and a beautiful Sunday - sunny and hot.

Big thanks to Aunt Amber who helped us keep a good watch over the kids - two kids on a dock, by a pool and on a boat...lots to watch out for!

Hat Day at School

Recently, Ellie and Tommy's school had a "Spirit Week" - where they were encouraged to wear clothes that matched the day's theme.  So along came hat day, which we took pretty seriously.

Real (well kind of) food!

We started Tom on solids recently - here is the first time out...a little unsure and then he hung in toward the end.

We have ourselves a 6 month old!

Tommy hit 6 months old in May.  He continues to be such a happy joy in our house.  He is still very smiley, loves to greet people with a big smile and give them some lovin'.  He weighed in at 16.4 pounds at this last doctor's appointment.  His doctor's quote was "well food is sticking to him now".  This is easy for the keen eye to see in very big chubby rolls that are on his thighs and arms, and a set of ever growing chubby cheeks.

He is sitting up on his own, sleeping unswaddled at night and prepping to move to the "big boy class" of 6 to 12 month olds next week.

Below are some pics of his 6 month photo shoot - which he took a more "active:role in.

Definitely put it in my mouth

This is a typical Tom pic - so happy

Where am I?

Happy 6 month old boy

Two Friends on a Summer Day

Here is a cute shot we got recently of Ellie and our next door neighbor John (he is older - 5 - and handsome!) eating popsicles in our driveway.
