We got a great set of pictures of Tommy from his teachers Ms. Erin and Ms. Ashley in his newsletter last week. He looks so grown up in them...time sure is flying!
Welcome to our blog
We wanted to start this blog as a way to keep track of all the new things going on in our family...read along for fun tales, lots of pictures and just try and keep up with the chaos!

Another successful trip to the Mall
One of Ellie's favorite pastimes is going to Oak Park Mall. Here are some pictures from her two favorite activities...the carousel and the Mickey Mouse store.
Movie Night at the Burgess House
We have started having movie night at our house recently. Ellie is finally at a point where a movie catches her attention for a little while. Current favorites are Toy Story, Cars and Finding Nemo. We bring in Ellie's red chair from her playroom, which isn't always put to use by Ellie. Here are some shots from movie night.
Everyone Loves Tommy
We had the Kilroy family over recently, and Jack and Michael are expecting a new little brother or sister in June. So they were excited to see Tommy and wanted to hold him. This turned into a group event, which we were able to get some cute pictures from.
And yes, I am infinitely jealous of Michael Kilroy's red hair...

Still crowded
Wanted to share another piece of proof of how crowded our bed can become in the morning. Please note the pink shirt in the upper part of the picture, i.e. Me hiding as I was unfit for viewing.
Singing in the bathtub
So, a lot of you have heard me tell you that Ellie is super into singing. We listen to the soundtracks from Glee almost daily in the car (for those of you not watching Glee, well - I don't know what to say - you need to). The Glee cast covers all sorts of songs - from the Beatles to rap music.
Anyway, Ellie has memorized several songs from beginning to end and sings them all the time. Lately we have been using bath time as singing time, and Mikey was able to get a few choice songs on video. You can be the judge...we think she has star potential!!
The first is "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey and the second is "Hello, Goodbye" by the Beatles.
